As live performance in electronic music matures via mini analogue synths, sequencers and software expanding to support ever-more complex setups, artists like Brodanse are bringing their studio into the booth. While two-decks and a mixer approach isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, the dynamic and modular approach of performing in the booth can lead to new unique and exciting sets.
We invited Brodanse - who’ve already worked with giants like Groove Armada and Cari Golden, started their own label and have a set lined up in London’s legendary Fabric on August 30th – into the Point Blank studios to tell us more about how their live setup works and to give us a sneak peek at their new set.
