Returning for its sixth year the family friendly Camp Bestival welcomes 2013 with an ever more diverse line up with the Around The World theme for yet another otherworldly Lulworth Castle experience from Monday 1st – Thursday 4th August.
Explaining this years theme, festival curator and Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank has stated, “Our theme for 2013 Around The World is a truly global, magical mystery tour of faraway lands from Indian circuses to Italian pop-up restaurants and Belgian ska bands. Roll up roll up for the Greatest Show On Earth!”
And the greatest show on earth it is set to be! With headline sets from the Mercury Prize nominee Richard Hawley, a folk rock extravaganza from the Levellers and British pop titian Labrinth there is something to suit every member of the family.
Through just scratching the surface the scope of electronic music is more than catered for. The jumped up live set of DJ Fresh set to rip the BPMs through the darkening sky while the good time reggae vibes of Toots And The Maytals will deliver the greatest in rocksteady revelry.
Camp Bestival is not short on its selection of legends this year, with Grandmaster Flash dropping all his tech and DJ knowledge on Dorset. The electronica hero Sasha who will be making his debut at the festival and it's sure to be a memorable one.
So roll up and step into the new realm of Camp Bestival. With a line up to rival its big brother, if you can't decide which Bestival to do this year DJ Mag suggests you do both.
