Roy Davis Jr's career has had many highlights - starting out as part of Chicago's iconic Phuture, teaming up with Strictly Rhythm in New York, knocking off jazzy classics such as the sublime 'Watch Them Come' - but he'll be forever known on UK shores for house/garage staple 'Gabriel', which features the saintly lyrics of Peven Everett.
Allowing a whole new generation to hear his soul inflected sound, and to show all the new breed how it's really done, he's dropped us this masterful mix, which is also a taster of his headline spot on the UK's Sound History tour, which sets out on 15th October and takes in Bristol, Leeds, London, Brighton and Manchester.
