DUKE DUMONT HITS UK NO.1 AGAIN
UK DJ/producer scores second chart-topper in a year
Duke Dumont, aka Adam Dyment, has just shot to the top of the UK singles chart again. It's the UK DJ/producer's second chart-topper in a year.
'I Got U', featuring Jax Jones, follows 'Need U (100%)' to the summit, and is further evidence that credible, quality house music has impacted on the mainstream in a big way right now.
'I Got U' harks back to the feelgood era of house music around the Millennium, when sunshine cuts like 'Another Chance' by Roger Sanchez, 'U Don't Know Me' by Armand Van Helden and 'Lady' by Modjo smashed it in the charts.
The single's success is testimony to Duke Dumont's decision to put material out on his own label, Blase Boys Club. His mainstream success come after several years producing and playing underground music. Hew released on Tiga and Switch's labels, amongst others.
The video for 'I Got U' features a guy putting on a virtual reality helmet and experiencing a number of 'feelgood' adventures. Watch it here:
