When it comes to chunky house music, Made to Play are past, present and, let us just dust off the old crystal ball, yep, future masters.
So their party at Villa 221, Miami, on Thursday 22nd March was already an essential pick, following the daytime Dirtybird BBQ and featuring label boss Jesse Rose alongside some of the label's most prominent or promising artists such as Oliver $, Prince Club and Catz 'N Dogz.
As a special treat though they've dug deep with a few proper legends worth turning up early for. DJ Sneak has just dropped his instalment of Fabric's long-running comp series, opening his CD wallet to expose some of the straight jackin' house that will rock any party. Dave Taylor, meanwhile, might now be better know as Switch but it's his Solid Groove moniker that is the home to his own buffed up take on house with tracks like the UK boompty of 'Get Ya Dub On'. Which just leaves Todd Edwards, the New Jersey producer whose cut-up style inspired the UK garage scene so much that they slipped 'The God' inbetween his christened names and whose new 'Shall Go' EP dropped on Body High this week.
Basically, get ya booty down there. We have two tickets to give away for the party (you need to make your own way there though so probably only best entering if you're in Miami that night), plus a copy of 'Made for the Night', Jesse's double CD mix compilation which recently dropped. Simply email email@example.com with the answer to the following question and your full name, address and a contact number and we'll pick and notify a winner on Wednesday morning.
What was the first thing Jesse did when he rose?
