These are the Top 30 UK club events in November 2018
Loose Lips 4th Birthday, The Wonder Pot, Materials 1st Birthday, Timedance Final Chapter, AMP, Shine...
These are the top UK club events in November 2018. And they're very strong indeed.
London sees Loose Lips on top with mind-blowing future-first stuff via labels UVB 76 and Voitax— Pessimist, Makaton, Cressida b2b Paàl all on the bill.
Moving even further from fours, junglists Rupture turn 12, so Mantra and Double O host legends like Paradox, DJ Lee and Stretch, and contemporaries J:Kenzo, Tim Reaper and Djinn— check her DJ Mag Recognise mix. Mick's Garage is another good shout— Bambounou is quality, Livity Sound's Hodge b2b with rising electro type and Fever AM boss, Mor Elian, should be incredible.
FUSE hits the decade mark so tech stomps for 24-hours at two venues. And Egg welcomes two of electronic music's most influential camps; R&S and the (relatively) recently relaunched Mute imprint, Novamute— please don't miss respective honchos Renaat Vandepapeliere and Daniel Miller.
Liverpool looks in rude health. The Wonder Pot is going big— Call Super, Willow and one of our recent Cheeky Bubbler's, Breakwave. Hence the North's pole position. And the city gets a new venue in Hinterlands, Merseyside heroes Abandon Silence host the house-y opening—- MCDE, Palms Trax, Banoffee Pies.
Ever the rival, Manchester also dominates. Dnb dignitaries (Marky, LSB, Break) and local heavyweights (Dub Phizix, Strategy) are all on one night. P13 sounds like Veronica Vasicka's Minimal Wave, with Das Ding's debut in town alongside techno big gun Regis. And Micron is 12 years young— the International DeeJay Gigolo himself, DJ Hell, makes an all-too-rare appearance.
Solid sessions down South include Imerse, a new party from one of techno's live greats, Saytek. Calling The Hardcore offers pure whistle crew material from SS and more. And Andy Bainbridge, of London's sadly defunkt Bad Passion parties and Not An Animal Records, joins Koala Death Grip boys Craig Bartley and Andy Simms, hopefully for a cosmic chug-off.
Out West, Timedance continues to say a long goodbye to its spiritual home of The Island in Bristol. Attend. The same city gets the best pub throw-down ever, too— stepping beats at The Black Swan with DMZ final level boss Coki, Commodo, Pinch and more. Martyn and Skee Mask are also in the area, names responsible for two of 2018's best records.
Joy Orbison, Pangaea and our recent ADE guest, Saoirse, should be a phenomenal combination in Bath. Expert Death hits our pages for the second time in two months for more 150-cap, all vinyl Nottingham business, this time with Peverelist headlining. In Glasgow Daniel Avery is teaming up with HAAi, which should be interesting, exotic and acidic. Happy Birthday to Bigfoot's too; Objekt should smash it. And Belfast's dnb scene represents via Om Unit, with Shine's big one also in the Northern Irish capital— Bicep live, Hammer and Schmutz confirm the Celtic talent, Gallic techno head Voiski stops by.
