What You Wearing

Buzzin Fly supremo gives us his fashion secrets...

What are you wearing right now?

Chocolate brown flip flops (Havaianas Beach), APC unwashed new cure denim jeans (never washed: aired only; not ideal after a night out but a hot towel rail works wonders), second-hand belt I bought when I was 20 and still use. A heavily washed and stretched but much loved Helmut Lang T-shirt with red, grey and white argyll wool sleeveless v-neck by Fred Perry (the stuff they had designed by Comme de Garcons) , errm yesterday's underpants because it is wash day, and my spare pair of glasses (David Clulow) because I sat on my best pair on the Heathrow Express on Sunday after a late one in Munich.

Favourite labels / designers?

Siv Stoldal, Lacoste and Marc Jacobs.

How do you like to shop?

Shopping is so bourgeois. I feel so ostentatious in shops. I like online stores - www.no-one.co.uk is good for new stuff, or sometimes www.laundryroom.co.uk and www.yoox.com is good for classics.

Favourite boutique or store?

Kensington Market 1979!

Most treasured item?

Pre-Tag vintage 70's Heuer Camaro watch. Bought from the ace Antique Watch Company on Clerkenwell Road. You need to wind it. Gives me a sense of responsibility.

Style icon and why?

Mark E Smith - effortless. Best quote after playing in London recently: 'Right, let's get back to civilisation'.

What are you up to?

Just launched new alt-indie sub-label to Buzzin' Fly called Strange Feeling and signed Danish band, Figurines to a great reaction. Buzzin' Fly is looking to the future after a great year last year with underground hits from Darkmountaingroup, Rodamaal vs Ame and Jimpster vs John Tejada. I have signed more young first-time producers and compiled many of them for the first time on the brand new Buzzin' Fly Vol 4 CD I have mixed for May 21 release. 12 tracks. 11 exclusives. No licenses. Our sound. Buzzin' Fly 4th Birthday happens at The End on June 22 with monthly first Sundays at Plastic People throughout the year. And I will be at Space in Ibiza, Australia, North America and Europe throughout the summer. Buzz buzz ...
