WIN TIX TO LOCO DICE IN LONDON | Skip to main content

Catch the Desolat man at Brixton O2 Academy

Livers and eardrums aside, plenty of abuse takes place in clubland. With all the sleepless nights and trappings of the scene comes an addiction to music, sound quality and technology — not to mention that incomparable feeling you get when you properly drop a phat beat.

Every DJ has tunes, gadgets and bits of kit they rinse constantly, so it made perfect sense when Loco Dice launched his Used + Abused party at Ushuaia in Ibiza last summer, celebrating all the vices and virtues that comes with a dedication to extreme partying.

Bringing the likes of Nightmares On Wax, Henrik Schwarz, Marcel Dettmann, Davide Squillace and DJ Sneak pool-side pretty much every Thursday of the season, the brand made such an impression on club-land that it's been deemed worthy of a one-off night at Brixton Academy on Easter Sunday.

Chris Liebing, Paul Ritch (live), Guti, Tobi Beumann, wAFF, Matthew Styles and Hector are the techno/house heavies drafted in alongside Loco Dice for what will be a night of absolute abuse — in the best possible sense.

Loco Dice is massive now, as is evidenced by this huge show at Brixton’s O2 Academy. And you could be there too — thanks to DJ Mag. To win a pair of tickets to the Loco Dice event, plus some other goodies — a Desolat t-shirt and a copy of his Defected mix comp — all you need to do is answer the question below:

Q. What genre of music did Loco Dice start off playing?

Answers to asap. This competition is only available to people currently living in the UK. Put ‘Loco Dice comp’ in the subject heading of the email, and all your contact details please.

Just for fun, we asked Loco Dice what thing he uses and abuses the most...

The thing I use and abuse the most is my phone when I’m on tour, specifically for following the football results,” he said. “I can’t wait for the automatic refresh, so am constantly updating the feed to check the latest info on the games that I follow.”
