No matter how much you profess to dislike the media of remixes, when an opportunity like this appears, I can imagine the temptation to resist being dogmatic. Essentially, this is the story behind this very interesting alliance. Nika Roza Danilova (Zola Jesus) has that spectral aura in her music that reflects Lynch's cinematography, carrying on almost from where the likes of Angelo Badalamenti left off. I love the detached nuance to this track and I can't help think Siouxsie Sioux as much as I do Morricone's magnificent muse, Edda Dell'Orso. A very exciting release from Sacred Bones who promise to release the soundtrack to Lynch's classic debut, Eraserhead, later this year.
