Esh the Monolith + Intrikit of DIM are Loop Minded Individuals and 'Science of Sixteen' introduces you to their deeply strange, strangely deep world of sampladelia, aquatic noises and little judders of seemingly out-of-control malfunctioning machinery, over which Has-Lo lets the thoughts pool and concentrate and spill wonderfully. On the flip 'Follow Her' is even better, a psychedelic chord-progression straight out the 'Big Fun'-era Miles book, beats as crisp and hard and brain-thunkingly heavy as a prime Diamond D or Pete Rock production, 'Seez Mics' matching every heavy-hitting snare with locked-tight rhymes. Essential I'd say.
