An Andrew Weatherall mural has appeared in Edinburgh
A wonderful tribute

A mural of the late Andrew Weatherall has appeared in Edinburgh.
The mural to the legendary UK DJ and producer, who tragically passed away earlier this week, has been painted by artist Shona Hardie, and is in the Meadowbank area of Edinburgh.
See the pictures of the mural below, posted by the Edinburgh Music Lovers Twitter account.

Earlier this week, Andrew Weatherall's family shared a statement, reading: “Lizzie, Bob and Ian would like to thank everybody quite literally everywhere for their lovely messages and tributes to Andrew. We know what a special person he was and are overwhelmed at the number of people who knew this too... and to hear their stories and how he influenced them is a real joy at such a raw and dreadful time. Please do what he would have wanted... creating, listening, dancing, but above all pushing boundaries.”
Touching tributes have come from those in the scene for the uncompromising artist.
We lost one of our best today - RIP Andrew Weatherall.

Today is the worst of days. Can’t believe it. He was the best of people. A lovely, lovely human being. Hilarious. A fabulous story teller. A man of impeccable taste. An inspiration. A friend. A comrade in arms. It’s so hard to imagine our world without him.
