Avicii posthumously wins Best Album award at International Dance Music Awards
The 34th edition of the awards were held virtually on 1st April

Avicii’s ‘TIM’ won the award for Best Album at this year’s International Dance Music Awards.
Earlier this month, the annual award ceremony (IDMA) hosted its 34th edition digitally, having been unable to take place as it normally would during Miami’s Winter Music Conference in March.
Among the winners in this year’s awards were Carl Cox, Charlotte de Witte, TOKiMONSTA, DJ Storm and Fisher. Avicii won in the Best Album category for ‘TIM’, which was released last year, having been completed posthumously by friends and collaborators. Other nominees in the category included Flume and The Chemical Brothers.
You can see the full list of winners below.
In February this year, Avicii was posthumously awarded two Swedish Grammys for ‘TIM’ and his track with Aloe Blacc, ‘SOS’.
An orchestral tribute concert for Avicii featuring friends and collaborators who worked on ‘TIM’ was held in December 2019. You can watch it here.
