EDC Las Vegas has officially been postponed due to coronavirus.

In a statement released on Friday (3rd April), the festival’s organisers confirmed suspicions that its 2020 was to be pushed back, thanking its fans for their patience “and supporting us while we’ve worked through this to make the best decision.”

EDC Las Vegas will now take place from 2nd to 4th October 2020 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The statement suggests that the original line-up, which featured the likes of Pendulum Trinity, Alison Wonderland, Carl Cox and Don Diablo, will remain the same, with the festival’s founder and CEO founder and CEO, Pasquale Rotella, writing “nothing changes but the date”.

See the full statement below.

All ticket purchases made for the original festival dates in May will be valid for the rescheduled event, while refunds will be offered for those unable to attend in October.

EDC Las Vegas is the latest major festival to announce its postponement or cancellation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has ravaged much of the dance music landscape, hitting clubs, festivals and workers at an unprecedented and staggering level.

Last week, Burning Man revealed that it would postpone the commencement of its main ticket sale until further notice, while plans for the annual gathering are proceeding “with caution”. Tomorrowland has also stated that plans for its 2020  summer edition are “currently ongoing” amid growing concerns surrounding the global outbreak of novel coronavirus.
