FABRIC CLOSURE LICENSING VOTE WAS NOT A UNANIMOUS DECISION
Reports also suggest fabric will be appealing it…
fabric’s license revocation at a hearing with Islington Council earlier this week was not passed with a unanimous decision, according to Asima Shaikh, one of the three councillors to vote.
Earlier today, Shaikh, who deliberated the decision alongside Islington councillors Gary Poole and Flora Williamson, said in a post on Twitter, “It was not a unanimous decision, am sad, but will continue to fight for a vibrant night time economy.”
You can see the full tweet below. DJ Mag has reached out to Shaikh for further comment.
It has also been reported that fabric, who co-founder Cameron Leslie originally said would not be appealing the venue’s license revocation, will be challenging the decision.
@djm_ Hi Darian, it was not a unanimous decision, am sad, but will continue to fight for a vibrant night time economy.
