LETHAL BIZZLE TO CRAFT ELECTRO GRIME TRACK WITH BOND COMPOSER DAVID ARNOLD
With vocals by Sinead Harnett.
As part of the #LiveColourful LIVE campaign, the trio are set to produce a unique grime-orchestral sound — with the project labelled ‘Grime: A Moment In Time’.
Bizzle has commented: “The track is a celebration of my journey and bringing together two worlds - grime and orchestra. Throw the rulebook out, music has no boundaries.”
“There are no rules”, David Arnold went on to explain. “Violins, beats, lyrics, rhythms, brass sections, distortion, guitars, samples…it’s all music, if it sounds good then it is good. There's no reason why Grime can’t meet Orchestra and this track is proof of how music knows no bounds."
While Sinead Harnett stressed the importance of the genre, stating, “I grew up listening to grime. It still resonates today in exactly the same euphoric way which is why its resurgence is so important and wicked! Having gone to the grime proms this year I can't stress enough how fitting a live orchestra is for tunes like 'Pow'. Live strings encourages grime music to sound as powerful as it deserves to."
The trio will write and record the song together, which will be released as a free download in the near future.
They’ll then perform it at a one-off event at One Mayfair on Tuesday 13th October. To be in with the chance of getting your hands on a ticket, head here
