Martin Garrix drops three new tracks at Austin City Limits: Watch
Fresh wares from the maestro
Martin Garrix dropped three new tracks at Austin City Limits this weekend, as the double weekender, which featured in the epic Live Nation 'festival passport' we reported on earlier this the year, kicked off with a serious display of EDM bigness.
The event runs from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th October, and then again between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th October, and welcomes crowds in excess of 400,000 over the course of that time. Although the focus is very much on live bands, this year's line up also boasts a selection of high-profile names from the electronic world. Not least Garrix, who lays claim to some of the biggest tracks from recent years, alongside his own online TV series, which we've been following closely.
It was new material that really turned heads during his headline performance on opening night, though. As the video below, recorded by a fan in the crowd, goes to show, his set included a live mash up of ‘Animals' with his soon to be released Loopers collaboration (skip to 9:30), a never before heard tune (at 15:10), and another stunning track that's new to us, apparently entitled ‘Back In Time', with no confirmed artist at the time of writing (check the footage from 34:32 onwards).
