Moodymann will play an all-nighter of Prince music at the iconic artist’s Minnesota home at a party on 1st December.
Paisley Park, the super-estate just outside Minnesota, will host the event - the same site where Prince lived and recorded music for three decades.
Moodymann is a noted fan of Prince and will play an all-night set until 2am featuring “party-starters, slow-burners, B-sides, D-sides and all manner of hits and curios” from Prince’s career.
The press release states that Moodymann’s record of “joyfully unpredictable” music owes much to the “influence and legacy of the Purple One.”
This year has seen parties featuring Moodymann still very much at the top of his game, including Off Sonar’s Detroit Love party, the best of which can be enjoyed here.
The man known as Kenny Dixon Jr also had a new album out this year, which you can learn all about here.
