Native Instruments have added a new step sequencer to its TRAKTOR DJ software, now letting DJs get even more creative in the mix, and it's part of the new, free TRAKTOR 2.11 update.
The sequencer allows users to add a new dimension to their sets by adding samples and sounds using Native’s Remix Set of one-shot samples. The new selection Remix Sets have been put together especially for the new Step Sequencer function, featuring custom-made one-shot drum, percussion, synth and FX samples.
NI's Step Sequencer works out of the box with the TRAKTOR KONTROL S8 all-in-one controllers and D2 performance decks. A custom MIDI map for TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 is available, and all functions are user MIDI-mappable.
Check out Pan-Pot using it to full effect in the video below from the Second State label party at this year’s ADE.
