Anja Schneider will release her new EP this week.
Landing this Friday (6th), the DJ/producer presents the 11th release on her Sous imprint, home to more experimental productions and remixes from the likes of Billy Turner, Fort Romeau and Mella Dee, with a two-track EP.
Following Madben’s ‘Landscape’ and Marcus Suckut’s ‘6AM’ on Sous, Anja Schneider’s ‘Funk That’ comprises of two contrasting techno rollers, pushing boundaries and warping dancefloor ideals for an all-consuming experience.
‘Funk That’ opens the EP with chunky 909 kicks and an undeniable groove, before ‘Far Side Of The Moon’ flips the mood on its head, pairing melodic bleeps, an off-kilter bassline and sparse percussion to dramatic effect.
