Sinai Sound System crowdfunds following studio flood damage
The damage following the recent Yorkshire floods is extensive

The team behind Sheffield's much-loved Sinai Sound System has launched a crowdfunding campaign after the recent Yorkshire floods caused extensive water damage to the system and the studio in which it is housed.
Writing on Facebook, alongside a video, the sound system's runners say that the damage extends to the "entire Sinai reggae / dub record collection, spare pre-amp, drum synth, custom siren, modded Technics SL-1210 and various pieces of outboard hardware". Sinai merchandise and clothing was also damaged in the flood.
"It's been a pretty hectic couple of weeks trying to get everything back up and running to some kind of level, with a lot of money invested, and a LOT of very very long stressful dirty days," the post continues.
The Sinai collective, who built the sound system in 2014, are hoping that money raised from a GoFundMe campaign will help them raise enough money to help cover the "massive repair bill" following "ten thousand pounds of damage".
