It comes as Nyege Nyege Tapes announces a new compilation dedicated to the genre

Sub-label Hakuna Kulala is also launching a white-label vinyl series

“The ultimate destination for African Dance and Electronic music”

The event is scheduled to take place next month

Saoirse, Rian Treanor and the Nyege Nyege Tapes collective are all involved

But the inaugural two-day East African Music Conference will go ahead online this weekend 

The label has also announced the dates for Nyege Nyege Festival 2020

Its release coincides with a European tour featuring a number of the label's key artists

MCs Hakim and Swordman also appear on the Ugandan imprint's first vinyl LP
