As the 2016 Ibiza season draws to a close, so does Fatboy Slim's residency for Cream (his first ever on the White Isle if you can believe it!) and he's preparing to go out with a bang... and a boat!
Thursday 15th September will see Mr. Slim dominating not just the dancefloor, but the waves of the Mediterranean, as he joins Float Your Boat for the Cream Closing pre-party.
Then, after a three-hour session on the high seas, the legendary UK producer will be heading back to Amnesia to finish off part two of the official Cream Closing party on the Terrace!
First learning to DJ in his early teens, Ilario Alicante is no stranger to the decks. After a record-breaking debut at techno festival Time Warp aged just eighteen, he’s gone on to release records on some of techno’s most respected labels — Bosconi, Tenax and, most crucially, Cocoon Recordings.
Claptone brings his The Masquerade event to Ibiza for the first time on Sunday 31st July, making the party’s debut on the White Isle at Amnesia.
And the Different Recordings’ artist is giving one lucky fan and a friend the chance to win flights, hotel and entry to the show this weekend.
The winner and their guest must be 18 or over, hold a full passport and be able to make their way to and from the airport.
Loco Dice, Pan-Pot and Chris Liebing are posing side-by-side on the rooftop of luxurious high-rise hotel The Ibiza Gran. It’s not often that the three superstar DJs get together, though they’re set to spin in tandem each Wednesday on the White Isle this year, as part of HYTE’s season-long residency at Amnesia.
Mix CDs are a dime a dozen on the White Isle, with almost every super-club releasing exclusive recordings throughout the season. Amnesia’s latest offering looks particularly tasty, with the mega-club drafting in DJ faves Mar-T, Betoko and Hector Couto to mix this year’s compilation. We catch up with Hector Couto (Pictured) to find out what to expect from his contribution...
Spanish authorities have found a substantial amount of cash hidden in Ibiza mega club Amnesia, according to Diario De Ibiza.
Apparently the money, alongside a money counting machine, was only uncovered with the help of pick axes.
According to the 2011 Commercial Register, Amnesia "declared an income of 13.1 million and a profit of only 18,822 euros."
Mar-T knows a thing or two about Ibiza — the Barcelona-based DJ and producer has been the resident DJ at Amnesia for over 15 years. This summer he’ll be playing Amnesia's opening party on Saturday 28th May and then seven dates as HYTE’s resident on Wednesday nights.
Amnesia has announced that it will no longer be opening past 6am due to tighter restrictions placed on them by the local Ibizan government.
“Through the constant pressures by the institutions of the island, restricting the club's schedule to promote other interests and having accepted and paid all the fines that have been imposed on us and deny one more time the exceptionality of a morning schedule for the Opening,” explained the club in the statement via its website.
