Following the announcement of new summer events in NYC and Croatia, HYTE has finally lifted the lid on its plans for its summer-long residency at original Ibiza rave cave, Amnesia.
Taking place across 15 consecutive events from Wednesday 29th June to Wednesday 5th October, the opening party will take place on 1st June and will see HYTE residents Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Pan-Pot, Cuartero and Mar-T back together under one roof, this time joined by Detroit legend Robert Hood as Floorplan and Rotterdam’s Benny Rodrigues.
Amnesia has announced that its opening party is now set to take place on Saturday 28th May, with the news dropping just days before it was originally set to take place this weekend (14th May).
Many people that had already booked their flights and accommodation to attend the originally planned date spoke out on social media at their frustration at the last minute change.

Cocoon begins and ends with love; a reflection of the White Isle herself. We find ourselves surrounded by it. It beams down from the rafters, stuffed into corners, seeping across the floor; tightly wrapped around bodies in an ode to the party’s namesake. Love is in the music, carefully selected and set forth by the master himself during Sven Väth’s 8-hour vinyl set. Love is outside in the smoking section where bleary-eyed ravers sit huddled on the pavement, chatting, laughing, sharing bottles of water and stories.
Global party brand HYTE hits Ibiza yet again to bring their community vibe and untouchable party ethos to a pair of events this Wednesday.
First up, they’re throwing a block party at Tantra Beach club, warming up soles from 10pm onwards, with Darius Syrossian, Sante and Sidney Charles — AKA the Do Not Sleep crew — all lined up for an epic B2B session, and Harvard Bass also on the bill to play a set, plus it’s free entry…
Following the success of our last Ibiza photo feature (find it here), that displayed images of island ravers from the late '80s and early '90s, DJ Mag has collected even more gorgeous vintage images from the White Isle.
Taken from the archives of IDEA Books in Soho, check out these incredible snaps of sun soaked excess and debauchery from the world's most famous party island.
