Sónar Lisboa has announced the first names for next year's debut event.
Taking place from the 8th to the 9th April 2022, the inaugural Portugese edition of Sónar will take place in a number of venues across Lisbon, with Belgian techno star Charlotte de Witte, Floating Points and core member of Kampala's Nyege Nyege collective, Kampire, among the first names announced for the event.
Dark Entries will release the debut album of Portugal’s Photonz this October.
Dubbed ‘Nuit’, the album is named for the Egyptian goddess of sky, stars, and astronomy. And according to the press release, Photonz “was really swept away by the concept of ‘freedom of form under the night sky’, the accepting embrace of Nuit.”
The BPM Festival: Portugal is returning to the Algarve coast for the third year running this September, and today has announced the first artists and showcases for this year’s event.
Taking place across 12 to 15 September in the gorgeous seaside town of Portimão, the lineup is already looking stacked with house and techno heroes from across the globe.
The BPM Festival: Portugal has locked in more than 50 artists, including Carl Craig, Loco Dice, Seth Troxler and Paco Osuna, for its initial line-up. The festival makes its return to Europe for its second year, scheduled to take place between 20th and 23rd September across eight venues in Portimão and Lagoa on the Algarve coast in Portugal.

The BPM Festival has announced the first wave of acts for its European debut, which takes place between 14th and 17th September on Praia da Rocha, the main beach in Portimão, Portugal.
Over 60 acts have been announced including Carl Craig, Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Hot Since 82, Dubfire, Stacey Pullen and more.
This is the first year that BPM Festival has crossed continents to Europe.
