Breakbeat originals Stanton Warriors are set to release Stanton Sessions Vol. 4 this month.
The latest instalment of the iconic series sees the duo flirt with bass music and electro, but their edit-everything approach gives the mix that classic low-slung Stanton sound.
Over 50% of the tracks on the mix are original Stanton productions or remixes. They run side-by-side with tracks from A1 Bassline, DJ Icey, Plump DJs and Fake Blood.
It was only a matter of time before Skrillex’s mighty OWSLA imprint elevated to the big leagues within the independent electronic circuit. Co-founded in 2011 by his manager Tim Smith, his publicist Kathryn Frazier, current director of A&R at OWSLA Publishing Clayton Blaha and Skrillex himself, the Los Angeles-based label has quickly become a goldmine for future sounds and breakout rookies in just over five years.
