Carl Cox has said that Illegal raves during pandemic are “not the answer”.
The techno DJ recently spoke in an interview with Sky News about the resurgance of illegal raves and parties in the UK, blaming it on the government and the lack of a clear timeline on clubs and festivals reopening.
Cox told Sky News social distancing means nightlife just cannot operate as normal. "These illegal parties are basically done out of frustration," he said. "Just done out of showing it's our right to do what we want to do. It's not the answer to this."

The project, headed up by researcher Jez Collins of Birmingham Music Archive C.I.C., is happening through a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant of £42,000.

Due to take place over three weeks between 22nd May and 13th June at London’s Printworks, the immersive Human Traffic Live experience has been postponed indefinitely, following the global outbreak of coronavirus, or COVID-19. The news follows Boris Johnson's announcement during Friday (20th) afternoon's address to the nation that all nightclubs must close with immediate effect, due to the spread of the virus.

RESISTANCE will return to Ibiza for the 2020 season, with Carl Cox slated to perform four shows on the island.
Running from the 21st July to the 15th September, RESISTANCE will take over Ibiza club Privilege every Tuesday. The event's global ambassador, Carl Cox, will return to RESISTANCE on the 28th July, 11th & 25th August, as well as the closing party on the 15th September.
Main room resident Adam Beyer will also return to the club, performing at the RESISTANCE opening and closing parties, and three other dates across the season.

Tomorrowland has revealed the full list of acts performing at this year's 2020 Belgium festival.
Among the hundreds of acts performing at the 16th edition of the event, 3 Are Legend will return as headliners, alongside EDM mainstays Afrojack, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Marshmello, Nervo, and Timmy Trumpet.
In terms of techno offerings, Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Adriatique, Carl Cox, Enrico Sangiuliano, Maceo Plex, and Marcel Dettmann will all perform at the festival.
