Celebrating its 24th year in 2017, Sonar Festival is the ultimate event on the Barcelona party calendar.

Split into two parts — Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night — what marks out the annual June festival is its devotion to the avant-garde, as well as to the old masters.

It’s a place where every genre under the sun is explored, where outliers and norms co-exist, where the big and the small, the underground and the more commercial all rub shoulders — and where trends are set for the years ahead.

Via RVCA's Artist Network Program (ANP), Steve Aoki and PM Tenore have collaborated to design the Dim Mak x RVCA 20th Anniversary Collection. The capsule couldn’t have happened at a better time —  it’s Dim Mak’s 20th anniversary this year. Though Dim Mak and RVCA have their roots in different industries, the Dim Mak x RVCA collaboration captures the synergy between cutting-edge music and fashion through each piece made.  

Innervisions head-honcho Dixon has soundtracked Givency's runway show at Paris fashion week.

It's not the first time prominent electronic producers have been tapped up to soundtrack a show for Paris fashion week, last year the Martinez Brothers provided the music for Givency's winter and summer collections. 

And the likes of Justice and Daft Punk have also leant their considerable talents to Dior Homme in 2009 and Louis Vuitton in 2007 respectively.

LA-based MASSIV. is planning a ‘massive’ takeover within the clothing industry in 2015. The lifestyle brand, founded by Nathan Amar, has music as its core and the emerging downtown Los Angeles music scene as its roots. MASSIV. is championed by the likes of Skrillex, Diplo, Rihanna, DJ Snake, and a long list of other renowned artists.

Typically when you think “Dim Mak,” you associate it with Steve Aoki’s imprint and its extensive roster of artists. An impressive piece of the Dim Mak puzzle is the unique, creative approach to merchandise. The label offers styles – beyond tees and hats – in exclusive capsules that are designed with the Dim Mak artist in mind. Tiernan Cowling, Creative Director of Dim Mak apparel and merchandise, attributes music as the muse behind the custom designs.

What are you wearing right now?

“Ah, you caught me on my way to a new photo shoot, I’m looking typically German DJish today. I’m wearing some old black Helmut Lang wild leather trousers, which are my everyday every weather staple.

We’re casting our eager eyes over to Denmark, as you do, because we’ve got the love bug for Rascals and their SS14 collection. It hints at '90s athletic wear with some joyful street style appeal thrown in. Actually, their AW14 comes up trumps as well. Those Danes, they have it covered.

What are you wearing right now?
"I’ve just got into the studio and am wearing a Penfield orange puffer coat that I got from Liberty, an Our Legacy yellow wool jumper also from Liberty, grey jeans from Cheap Monday, a charcoal tee from Folk, black Converse high-tops and a red beanie."

“Currently wearing a pair of Boris Bidjan black, waxed, jeans, a pair of A Diciannoveventitre kangaroo leather combat boots, an oversized black cotton t-shirt by Chronicles of Never, silver bracelet by Werkstatt Munchen, and a long vintage silver necklace with a huge black Tremolite charm by Alma De Piedra - my friend's company out of Guadalajara.”
