Metalheadz are a label that need no introduction. As of late the D&B heavyweights have been rummaging through a box of tapes in Goldie’s house to remaster some of their back catalogue — never before made available digital releases from the ‘90s. In honour of this, they’ve got Randall on the case to construct a ‘History of Metalheadz’ mix, which rolls through some of the finest ‘Headz tracks to bring back a few memories, and which you can listen to exclusively below...

We pinned the D&B legend down for a set of quickfire questions:

Adam F is a drum & bass legend. A b-boy in his youth, he started off releasing on Goldie's Metalheadz label ('Metropolis') and cracked the UK charts in the late nineties with d&b crackers such as 'Circles' and 'Music In My Mind'.

He graced the cover of DJ Mag in 2001, started producing hip-hop, and set up the Breakbeat Kaos label with DJ Fresh which put up the first proper album by Pendulum. He also co-owns enduring drum & bass forum Dogs On Acid.

On the cusp of his new collaborative mini album, ‘Strictly Raw’, Boys Noize has been revitalised by the album's concept of making tracks using only two synths and a drum machine, with his close friends and label mates.
