XOYO announces Dusky as first 2020 residents
Dusky have been announced as the first residents for 2020 at London club, XOYO.
The duo, real names Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell, who are also from the capital, will take over from Dekmantel Soundsystem to present twelve weeks of carefully curated line-ups.
Running from January 2020 through to March, Dusky will host Rise For Love, the 25th residency the party has held since its inception.

SOPHIE, Mala and British Murder Boys are among the first names announced to play RE—TEXTURED 2020.
Exploring the relationship between modern and industrial architecture, experimental music and visual arts in London, the festival's second annual outing will return across venues including BFI, Tobacco Dock, Southbank Centre, Oval Space, E1 London and Village Underground between 2nd-5th April.
London club The Cause to remain open at its current location
North London club The Cause will remain open at its current premises indefinitely.
Initially opening with the aim of raising £25,000 for charity partners Mind in Haringey, C.A.L.M. and Help Musicians UK, the venue surpassed their target and have since raised over £50,000 for the charities and beyond.
Junction 2 locks Maceo Plex, Octo Octa, Joy Orbison, more in second phase
Junction 2 has revealed more names joining the festival's 2020 line-up.
Last year saw the South London festival expand into two days, with the addition of Friday boasting a more eclectic, underground line-up, while Saturday maintained its policy of house and techno sets from some of the biggest names in the game. After announcing the likes of Amelie Lens, Ben Klock, Honey Dijon and Four Tet, the second wave of names have been revealed.
There’s a charity rave at The Cause to raise funds for Centrepoint
A charity rave in North London next month will raise funds for Centrepoint.
A response to record numbers of homelessness amongst youth in the UK, the Jungle Jam-hosted event at The Cause on 6th December will raise money for the charity, which provides accommodation and support to homeless people aged between 16–25.
London’s The Cause reveals “potential” new location
Independent London club The Cause has revealed a potential new location.
Launched in 2018, the Tottenham venue, which originally had a year-long contract and was due to close in April 2019, extended their contract until the beginning of 2020 with New Years Eve serving as the closing party.

Eric Prydz will perform at London's Printworks in 2020.
The Pryda label boss will head to the 5,000-capacity mega-venue, which first opened its doors in 2017, on the 28th February next year, alongside Ukranian techno duo ARTBAT.

London club FOLD to reopen following licence suspension
London club FOLD has been granted permission to reopen.
The east London venue had its licence suspended earlier this week by Newham Council, who cited an ongoing fraud investigation "relating to approximately £200,000 worth of material” in the club.
An international club culture exhibition is opening in London next year
An exhibition based on international club culture will open in London in 2020.
Entitled Electronic, the exhibition will be on display at West London's Design Museum, and will explore the "hypnotic world of electronic music" and "discover its global impact from underground movements to the mainstream."
