A new museum dedicated to electronic music will open in Frankfurt next year.

Sven Väth has announced a Cocoon Recordings 20th anniversary compilation.

After celebrating its two-decade legacy on the White Isle back in 2019, Sven Väth's irrepressible Cocoon Recordings imprint is set to release a vinyl anniversary box set featuring 15 tracks that encompass the energy and vibes of Cocoon.

Sven Väth has remixed Elon Musk’s EDM track.

Earlier this week in Berlin, the Axel-Springer Award for "outstanding personalities who are particularly innovative, and who generate and change markets, influence culture and at the same time face up to their responsibility to society", was awarded to CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk.

As part of the award ceremony, Musk, who often speaks about his love for electronic music — specifically techno — was presented with a special, one-off vinyl boxset from Cocoon boss and techno legend, Sven Väth.

Released in May, the documentary charts the Que Club's thirty-year history, from when it first opened its doors in 1989.

The project, headed up by researcher Jez Collins of Birmingham Music Archive C.I.C., is happening through a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant of £42,000.

Rave, a 1998 novel by German author Rainald Goetz, is set to be released in English for the first time this year. 

The novel has been translated by Adrian Nathan West and will be published in July by Fitzcarraldo Editions, who describe it as “a fragmentary novel that attempts to capture the feel of debauchery from within”.

Kraftwerk have won a 20-year copyright dispute over an unauthorised sample from the band's 1977 track, 'Metall Auf Metall'. 

A two-second clip was believed to have been used without permission on Sabrina Setlur's 1997 song, 'Nur Mir', by producers Moses Pelham and Martin Haas. 

There's a festival taking place in a 180-year-old industrial mine this summer. 

Beats For Love will run from 3rd to 6th July at Industrial Areal Dolní Vítkovice, in Ostrava, eastern Czech Republic — the facility closed in 1998.

Kraftwerk will play their first ever Ibiza show this summer.

The German electronic pioneers will bring their well-traveled 3D live show to Ushüaia on Friday, 13th September. It will take place as part of Cocoon Ibiza's programme to mark their 20th anniversary.

With more names to be announced, the Düsseldorf legends will be joined by Cocoon head honcho Sven Väth.

Kraftwerk will close Cheshire's Bluedot festival in July.

Cocoon has announced its full season of line-ups for what will be its 20th anniversary series of events in Ibiza this summer. 

Joining Sven Väth across 10 dates will be the likes of Nina Kraviz, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Nastia, Tale Of Us, Solomun, Adam Beyer, Seth Troxler and Ben Klock. 

Cocoon debutants this summer include Charlotte de Witte and Bicep who will play an exclusive DJ set during the series of parties. The 10 parties will run at Amnesia between May 27th and September 30th, each Monday. You can find the full breakdown of the dates in the image below.
