September saw DJ Mag celebrate its 20^th anniversary of the Tech Awards at BPM | PRO Music technology convention at Birmingham’s NEC Genting Arena. Six categories were contested ‘live’ over the two days and the winners were announced at the show. In a break from the norm, the usual suspects didn’t run away with it all and there were a few surprising results, which in our opinion is a good thing as it shows that there is a great variety of kit available for DJs at every level, from beginners right up to Pro use. It’s a great time for DJ technology and the guys and girls who use it.

The remaining nine categories were open to the public vote and we can now reveal the winners. Once again we had an unprecedented amount of votes, just showing how relevant and popular our Tech Awards are for the scene.

As with all public votes, some will agree and some will disagree with the results of each category. It is always a tough process as all the gear featured deserves recognition in its own right for being at the forefront of DJ and production technology. Here is what was decided...
